I found this quote on the tag of my Yogi tea bag the other day. Of course I loved it!

Late one night a tired, hormonal, sleep deprived, mother found herself rocking a screaming baby for what seemed like hours. She kept herself from harming this child by thinking up stories to teach him about all the things she hoped for him.

A few years later she found herself telling these stories to this same baby who was now a boy with a strong will. As the years progressed and she butted heads with this challenging wee one, who always seemed to push her to the very edge of sanity, she thought of more stories to tell him. The boy loved the stories and begged for more daily.

Then she had another baby boy with issues of his own and the stories grew and so did the begging. A while later she found herself pregnant with a third boy and going on seven nights of total insomnia. To keep herself from slitting her writs she started this blog. "After all," she thought "This new boy will have problems of his own and need to know about Justly."

And so it all began. A coping mechanism turned into a way for me to connect with my boys, especially during the times I wished I'd never began the journey of motherhood. It is the single best parenting thing I have done to date, besides getting a sense of humor, which I'm technically still working on.
